Nigerian Commander of MJTF in Chad Visits Headquarters of G5 Sahel at Sevare in Mali

The Force Commander Multinational Joint Task Force based in Ndjamena Chad Major General Lucky Irabor has paid a two-day official visit to the headquarters of G5 Sahel in Sevare Mali to discuss ways of collaboration.
General Irabor stated that the purpose of hid visit was to exchange ideas, share information and intelligence as well as encourage one another towards achieving a common goal.
A statement by Colonel Anka military public information officer of the MNJTF said general Irabor noted that the G5 Sahel was created on solid foundation and reiterated the need to remain focused in order to fight terrorism and related criminality in the region.
The commander of G5 Sahel General Dacko noted that the two forces have common goals of fighting terrorism, illegal migration and trafficking in persons and proliferation of arms and light weapons among others.
He assured the MNJTF of cooperation and presented detailed security situation in the area of operation, deployment, achievement and future prospects.
The meeting was attended by Chiefs of Cells in the MNJTF from Benin, Chad, Cameroon, Niger, Nigeria and some members of the Centre for Coordination and Liaisons of Operation Barkane.
